Results Summary
Close to 200 competitors participated in the events. The mean individual score was 3.125, the standard deviation was 2.27, and the median was 3. The scores ranged from 0 to 10. A grading committee standardized the tiebreaker scoring from each site. Because of a fire alarm before the end of the individual test at one of the testing sites, the contest organizers used a combination of tiebreaker and individual test scores to determine national recognitions. While overall the cutoff for this recognition was an 8, some exceptionally high tiebreaker scorers from the disadvantaged test site had slightly lower individual scores.
